The Fisher-Price Imaginext Ocean Boat is a well-crafted toy boat that will captivate junior seafarers' active imaginations. It features dozens of movable parts, including a deployable submarine, that will allow your child to explore the sea at all depths. Designed for ages 3 and up, the Ocean Boat will immerse your child in the biggest ocean of all -- their imagination.
Great for Imaginative Play
With its nautical blue-and-yellow paint scheme and sturdy construction, the Ocean Boat looks and feels like it was made for high-seas adventure. It comes with three Imaginext-style figures, each with their own outfit and scuba gear. The figures have rotatable arms and legs, and their hands are shaped to grasp numerous objects throughout the ship. The ship is full of movable parts, giving the boat a realistic touch. Spin a dial on top, for instance, and the ship's doors will fling open. Rolling the ship along on a hard surface will spin the ship's propellers and satellite dishes in unison.
There is also an opening cargo hold with translucent doors, a life-saver launcher, a rotating crane for deploying the submarine, and more. The accessory submarine comes with spinning propellers and rotating arms. Unfortunately, the boat wasn't designed for water play. Although it might be tempting to take it in the pool or bathtub, it will probably capsize the moment you try to float it.

The boat also comes with four deep-sea animal figures: a king crab, an eel, a cuttlefish, and an anglerfish. Kids will enjoy learning about these fascinating creatures with their parents.

WATCH OUT! Over Priced Seller
Great toy but... The suggested retail price of this toy is $38. It is available online from Toys R Us for $34.99. There is no reason why this seller should have it priced at $64.99 other than to rip you off.
Another great toy from Imaginext
This boat set is perfect for kids who love ships! One thing I like about it is that it's not too simple or babyish. It's a substantial size and weight, and there are lots of moving parts and accessories. This is a toy a child could use for years. The box says that it's for ages 3-8, and that's realistic.
However, don't pay [...] for it (plus shipping!) ToysRUs carries it in their stores for [...]. I wish Amazon would sell this toy direct from their own warehouse, for a fair price and free shipping.
Great addition to any Imaginext collection...
My son received this for his 4th birthday and really likes it. It has translucent doors in the bottom of the boat and a compartment for storing their little "catches." I love that it has the additional little romer vehicle for skimming the bottom of the ocean. It's nice to be able to tell your child about these things and show them how they would work in real life and what exactly they do and what each of the included sea creatures are called. I found it pretty educational. As with most Imaginext items, this is extremely durable, it has wheels on the bottom and when you push the boat alond the little satellite thing spins around. It's very realistic. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a young child.
